Bed Rest Just Got Better

If I have learned anything in my 20 years of living with multiple chronic illnesses such as psoriatic disease, fibromyalgia, endometriosis, and degenerative disc disease to name a few it is that comfort is a necessity when riding out a flare. Not just flares, but also when prescribed bed rest after an injury or surgery.

After being diagnosed with multiple broken ribs and being prescribed six weeks of bed rest, I wasted no time finding and purchasing products that would provide comfort during my recovery period.

The product I am reviewing today has taken my bed rest experience to a new level.

The proceeds earned fund the giveaways I host in my Facebook groups. I purchased the product with my own funds and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

The product I am reviewing today is the QUEEN ROSE Pregnancy Body Pillow, U-Shaped Maternity Pillow for Pregnant Women with Velour Cover. Do NOT let the name Pregnancy Pillow fool you or make you think that it is only for pregnant women.  This company is missing its mark because this pillow is perfect for everyone and anyone!!

Why a pregnancy pillow?

As I shared in my blog post Make Your Bed More Comfortable for Under $50, I do not like my legs touching each other while I sleep.  This includes my feet which had been an issue with my former body pillow.  When comparing the available pregnancy pillows, I stumbled upon a 65-inch one that could solve all of my body support issues.

My original intention was to give myself a better night’s sleep.  What surprised me is how useful it has become in all aspects of my time spent healing in bed.

Versatile

As demonstrated in the picture above by my Chihuahua, Zeva the Diva, this pillow serves many purposes.

While sleeping I place the U end underneath my shoulders or at my feet.  It pretty much depends on how much extra padding I need under my shoulders. Either way, my legs, arms, and/or back are supported no matter what position I sleep in.

While awake, I often place the U end against the wall and rest my feet on the legs.

Working from bed became more comfortable too!  I also purchased a rolling bed desk but found it painful to hold my arms up while typing.  To remedy this I just fold the legs of my super awesome pregnancy pillow and create armrests!! Because I have to sit in a reclined position, I do use additional pillows behind me for support.

My spine won’t allow me to sleep fully on my back or stomach, but with this pillow, I am able to lie in those positions, just with support and a slight angle so my spine remains happy.

Do you suffer from nightly leg cramps or spasms? Check out the product that eliminated mine!

Although this pillow was more expensive than the ones featured in my other article, it was and is worth every penny spent.  This pillow will provide my body with the comfort it needs long after I am released from bed rest. Click here to see more options.

The case is soft and removable for washing.

The best part is not having a million pillows on my bed anymore or having to pick them all up off of the floor every morning.

Another perk is that the pillow is so large that there is plenty of room for my dog and cat to enjoy it with me!!
