Pre Test Prep

Pre Test Prep

Have you ever had so many procedures and test done that you forget what the rules are?? So I’m currently sitting in the endoscopy waiting room at the hospital. In just a few hours I’ll be having my wonderful scope! (Can you sense the sarcasm?) This morning I was thinking to myself, can I put on lotion? Some test and procedures they don’t want you do that. I don’t remember. So I kept it simple today. Wearing something comfy, hair back, facial moisturizer and lip gloss.

I know I can’t have water or food 8 hours before. I almost got up at 4am just to have some water. Sadly that didn’t happen. Of course I had a bad flare and didn’t sleep well. My side hurt more than usual so it was hard to get comfortable. So I chose sleep over water and I totally regret it!! I’m so thirsty!! I’m a big water drinker and love my coffee in the morning!!

Instead of drinking some delicious espresso I was tortured and had make over 30 espresso drinks for a delivery. So not cool! I manage a coffee shop and had a big delivery. So I was surrounded by all of these delicious drinks I couldn’t have. My scope is at 12, it was nice to have sometime to get things done and work this morning but I so much rather get it over early. Oh well! Do you have a procedure check list? I know I do. I want to make sure I have my comfy clothes, my phone charger, my insurance cards, ID, and water for afterwards. today I even brought along my laptop so I can get some work done. Never did I think I would being fitting in all of these test and procedures with my everyday life. Thankfully I have a pretty flexible schedule. It’s so nice to work again but also be able to focus on my health too. I’m very thankful.
