Summer Kimonos for Comfort and Style

These summer kimonos are a perfect combination of comfort and style! A must-have item whether you have a chronic illness or not!

Summer kimonos provide comfort and style for everyone, even the chronically ill! Living in Southern California, the weather allows me to wear kimonos all year long.

As someone who lives with chronic pain from fibromyalgia, psoriatic arthritis, and endometriosis, kimonos provide the comfort I need while looking good. Kimonos are great for hiding unexpected weight gain from staying home from the pandemic or a flare. I love how they help conceal my after-meal belly bloat without making me feel like I am wearing a corset!

Kimonos for Comfort and Style

I am all about layers! Inflammation from my chronic illnesses causes my body to overheat without notice. Having a light kimono allows me to keep my shoulders covered without sweating to death!

What I like most about kimonos is that they can be both casual and dressy! They can be worn at the beach as well as on dinner dates. Where will you wear yours?

Kimonos make the perfect swimsuit cover up! They also look fantastic with a tank top and shorts or leggings. There are so many fun ways to dress up or down an outfit. I have a third of my closet designated for my kimonos! Do you think I have a problem? Ha Ha! Nah! A girl can never have too many!

Whether you are staying home or venturing out this summer, you can’t go wrong with a lightweight kimono. Use them to dress up your flare-day lounge-wear or thrown one over knit dress while running errands.

      1. Ah summer… we’ve been hit with Winter here in South Africa. Just blogged about the fact that I’ve become a box of Rice Crispies!!! Snack, crackle and pop!!! It’s awful!! Stiff as all hell. Not very pleasant at all!
But come summer I will be rocking them kimonos again!!!
