Living with #psoriaticarthritis is better with support from my husband and @pack_health #healthcoach . Both help me reach goals and improve my health despite my #autoimmunedisease . Learn more! #PackHasYourBack #ChronicPain

I have always loved the idea of having a health coach.

It isn’t that I don’t have any support at home, because I do, but what I really desired was someone who understood my specific chronic illnesses.

Family and friends offer support, but they don’t always know if the goals I am setting are realistic or wise for someone with an autoimmune disease.

Doctors do not have the time to talk about or hold me accountable for my daily goals.

What I need is an individual and personalized approach that enhances my existing treatment plan and that is where Pack Health comes in.

Why Pack Health?

Pack Health is more than having a health coach.

My psoriatic arthritis health adviser listens to me. We talk about all of my concerns.

She helps by providing information and resources to address my needs and/or concerns in regard to and beyond my specific chronic illness.

She even cheers me on in between weekly calls with texts and emails!

Most importantly, my coach holds me accountable by sending reminders and checking in often.

A warm welcome!

A few days after becoming a member, I received a welcome pack filled with helpful tools.

My welcome pack included:

  • A journal and pen for logging my daily pain and fatigue levels, hours slept, what I ate and drank, and other factors that may have had an impact on my health.
  • A magnet and dry erase marker to jot down my weekly goals and place where I will see it daily.
  • A prescription drug discount card.
  • A booklet all about my specific chronic illness.
  • A guide to help me create goals and recognize my obstacles and motivation.
  • A magnet with nutritional suggestions.
  • A stretch band for exercising and suggestions for how to use it.

Instead of waiting until 2020 to set and reach health goals, I am doing it NOW with the help of a @pack_health #healthcoach! Find out how you can too! #PackHasYourBack #ChronicPain

One of my goals is to lose the weight I gained last fall/winter.
