For the Love of You!

Have you joined The Disabled Diva’s Fitness Buddy group on Facebook?

If not, it is time you joined the fun!

Current members, scroll below to read this month’s challenge rules.

This group is for anyone who needs a little accountability and encouragement to help them stick to their fitness goals.  You could have fibromyalgia, an autoimmune disease, arthritis, diabetes, MS, or any other chronic illness.  In fact, you don’t even need to be ill.  I needed motivation and encouragement before I was chronically ill just as much as I do now!

One of our goals is to move our bodies every day.  This means in whatever form of exercise you are able to do.  If you can go for walks, that’s perfect and if not, that’s perfect too! Whether you run around the block, walk to the end of your driveway, or stretch your muscles every morning, you are welcome.

Another goal is to do something to improve or enhance our health.  This can be done through food selection and practicing self-care.

This group is not about killing yourself or triggering a flare in order to exercise your chronic body.  Instead, it is about figuring out how to incorporate physical movement into your day without having it disrupt your life.

Each month a challenge is issued.  Members earn entries to win Starbucks and Amazon eGift cards just by following a few simple rules.

Sound fun?

Then check out June’s challenge!

June challenge

Challenge: check in daily on the daily prompts by commenting with something you did to enhance your health or to care for your body, for no other reason than you love yourself.  It can be a physical accomplishment, dietary, and/or emotional because our mental health is just as important as our physical health.

The Disabled Diva is not a medical professional and does not issue medical advice.  Always seek the advice of a medical professional before starting any new exercise program.

Example: I went for a walk after a busy day. or I practiced self-control by only having one piece or chocolate…. or I am practicing patience with myself and didn’t become upset when my body required me to take a break.

It was the inflammation and pain reduction that I first experienced with PEMF therapy with Oska Pulse that made it possible to exercise again after not being able to for over a decade. Click here to learn more about this amazing drug-free pain relieving device and save $55 when you enter my discount code DIVA at checkout!

Challenge dates: June 1-30

Members earn one entry per day when they comment with their win on the daily prompt post which can be found in the announcements after 8am PST daily. Comments for each day must be made before 8am PST the following day. Members can join the challenge at any time. There is no need to declare your goals this month unless you would like to.

There will be one drawing held within 5 days of the challenge end date (June 30th). However, there will be 4 prizes and winners. This month’s prizes are the winner’s choice of an Amazon or Starbucks $5 eGift card.

Starbucks, Amazon, and Facebook are not affiliated with these drawings.
