DermaWand Review

Have you heard of DermaWand? It is a device that may make you look years younger without chemicals or having surgery.

Soon after I turned 49 I was given the opportunity to try DermaWand.

I am not against plastic surgery. I have had too many complications from past surgeries that were related to my chronic illnesses. Because of that, I refuse to ever go under the knife unless it is to save my life. And the last thing I want to risk is side effects from Botox.  However, I also don’t want to enter my 50’s looking older than I am.  When asked to try DermaWand I figured why not!!

What does DermaWand do?

DermaWand is an electrical device that uses the same technology as the big radio frequency machines that doctors and medical specialists use for treatments to help manage the signs of premature aging. Except with a lower amplitude that’s perfect for everyday use. It produces younger looking skin by stimulating your skin while also delivering thermal energy and enriched oxygen.

Is it easy to use?

YES!!! The last thing I wanted to do was add something more to my daily routine.

I panicked when I read that the kit came with exercise instructions.  I thought what the heck did I get myself into!!!  My fears were put to rest after I read the instruction booklet.

The exercises are actually different ways to move the device around your face to achieve better results and to help you tackle problem areas.

Applying the treatment to my face takes no longer than giving my teeth a good brushing.  Some days I may spend more time focusing on problem areas. For the most part, I am done within minutes.  It has been easy to add to my morning and bedtime routines.

Does it hurt?

DermaWand recommends starting at the lowest level on the dial and working your way up.

While it didn’t hurt my skin the first time I applied it to my skin, I did experience a slight stinging sensation for a little while after application in a few areas.

By my third day of using it, I stopped feeling any discomfort and a week later I was ready and able to start increasing the intensity of my treatments.

Fast forward a month and I am using my DermaWand on the highest setting with the exception to the area around my eyes and above my lips. For those areas, I turn it down to level 3.

Does it work?

Yes!!! I am thrilled with my results and can’t wait to see how much more the appearance of my skin improves the longer I use it.

While I use it on my entire face, I have been giving my neck extra attention.  In the before and after photo below you can see how loose and wrinkled the skin under my chin and neck were before using DermaWand.

In the after picture, you can clearly see how much tighter and smoother my skin is just after one month of use.

I love how tight and smooth my skin is becoming.  In fact, I love it so much that I am no longer worried about leaving the house without foundation on. Most days the only thing I apply after my moisturizer is my color correcting crème.
